NOCTURA FILMS

Noctura Films is a French production company created by Alexandre David Lejuez in January 2018.

The main themes that we find in the Noctura universe are BEHIND CLOSED-DOORS, LONELINESS, CHAOS, HORROR, PSYCHEDELIC aspect, addiction to ALCOHOL, SEX, in an ABSTRACT form and some little EXPERIMENTAL.

The idea is to re-invent the cinematographic form and not respond to any rule.

The main sources of inspiration are Dario Argento, Brian De Palma, Jim Jarmusch, Stanley Kubrick, Nicolas Winding Refn, David Lynch, Gaspar Noé, Gus Van Sant, Lars Von Trier etc.

All films produced by the Noctura Films production has been directed by Alexandre David Lejuez.

In 2018, the film, Seul le sang me guide, has been listed on Mafa Short Film TV, a British short film channel.

Vincire, in international competition for the Los Angeles Cine Festival, finished semi-finalist in 2019. It was also selected in Italy and France in 2021 (Nova Cinema Film Festival and Crash Test Festival in Lille).

I'm Not a Psychopath was selected at the Festival Inédit in Brussels and at the Direct Monthly Online Film Festival in the United States in December 2020.

In 2021, the film was in official competition in Greece during the Thessaloniki Free Short Festival.

The first feature film, Erotic, Chapter 1: Desire and Sensuality, was completed in January 2020 and won several awards at various international festivals. In particular, for the best experimental feature film in Turkey, at the Kiarostami Film Festival (now Andromeda Film Festival). Since August 14, 2020, the film has been available on VOD on the UK Film Channel platform.

In June 2020, ADL directed the clip for the song, Where the boats go, recorded by M83.

The second feature film, Drunkenness, finalized in December 2020, has been selected and awarded at various festivals around the world. Especially, it won three prizes in Curitiba, Brazil, for best cinematography, production design and sound. Since June 2, 2021, the film has been available on VOD on UK Film Channel and Amazon Prime Video.

The erotic short film, EMMA, is released direct on VOD on April 21, 2021 on the UK Film Channel and Sofy TV platforms. It won the award for Best Original Music at Thessaloniki, in Greece.

After various international selections in festivals (United States, Ukraine, Estonia etc.), the fantasy and experimental short film, Existere, is released on Sofy TV on December 21, 2021.

Genocidium, the third feature film directed by ADL, is finalized in December 2021. It finished 'Finalist' in Italy at the Rome Prisma Independent Film Awards and won three awards in 2022 (in France, India and USA) including for the best feature film.

The films produced by Noctura are also listed on IMDb, AlloCine, Sens Critique etc.

Since February 16, 2020, the Psychological Trilogy, including Seul le sang me guide, Vincire and I'm Not a Psychopath is available on the ClapTime and YouTube platforms.

The production works with several international distributors such as Amazon Prime Video, Sofy TV, Sofa VOD or UK Film channel.
